The other day, I was just searching away on youtube when I came across the international hit, "L'amour est Bleu" (Love is Blue) It's the 2nd and last song to be a Eurovision entry that had the word 'blue' in the title and became a worldwide hit despite not winning. It was also the last of 2 songs to have it's debut on Eurovision 1956-1969 become an international hit. Anyway I found a clip that I wanted to post here which had the first 2 songs of Eurovision but there was no embed code, so I posted this instead and I'll post more later. Here it is:
Anyway, the singer, Vicky, would come back in 1972 to (finally get her deserved) win. She appeared as Vicky Leandros and won the 1972 contest with "Apres Toi", again representing Luxembourg. NOTE: Vicky Leandros is Greek. But is love really blue? Well, I guess it depends on your mood. Love is blue when you're in a conflict with your boy/girlfriend. Well, here is her 1972 performance:


Anyway, here's the other video I wanted to show you:

This one above was the first song performed and "L'Amour est Bleu" is the 2nd song. It's a nice Dutch song sung by a nice Dutch woman. The hairstyle is identical with Anneke Grönloh's hairstyle in the same contest 3 years before thisone, her performance is this one:
